    The Newtown Alive mobile application and integrated web pages are provided by the City of Sarasota as a service to the general public.  Any unauthorized attempt to upload or change information is prohibited.

    Continuous Improvement and Site Accuracy

    The app and web pages will reflect continuous improvement; and the City makes no claims, promises or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or adequacy of the information contained in or linked to this mobile application, webs pages and associated sites.

    Although we try to ensure broken links do not exist; links to other Internet sites may have changed.  If you encounter broken links, please report it to the Newtown Redevelopment office at (941) 365-2200 ext. 3220. It will be assessed and corrected!

    Copy Restrictions

    Data on this system is public information and is generally available to copy or distribute.  Information and/or images which may not be copied without permission includes copyrighted materials, such as artwork and photographs. Please contact the City Clerk’s office  (941) 951- 5785 for information about how to obtain authorization to use the City of Sarasota’s logo.

    Emails

    Communications made through email and messaging system links contained on this site shall notbe deemed to constitute a legal notice with respect to any existing or potential claim or cause of action against the City or any of its agencies, officers, employees, or representatives, when such notice is required by any federal, state, or local laws, rules, or regulations or otherwise.

    Emaiil to City staff may not be used to address business issues & content on this mobile application or the integrated web pages.  General mobile application and web pages related comments, questions or recommendations may be directed to Rowena Elliott at (941) 365-2200 ext. 3220.

    Linking to the Newtown Alive Integrated Web Pages

    Unless you are subsequently advised otherwise, you are granted permission to create hyperlinks to the content on this mobile application and webs pages, provided that the link accurately describes the content as it appears on the site. The City of Sarasota reserves the right to revoke this permission, or access to specific links, at any time, and may discontinue links due to content management practices.

    Under No Circumstances May You “Frame” The Mobile Applications, Web Pages Or Its Content

    Each page within the mobile app and web pages must be displayed in full, without any accompanying frame, border, margin, design, branding, trademark, advertising or promotional materials not originally displayed on the page within the site.

    Links to Other Websites and Advertising

    The City of Sarasota does not accept requests for placing personal or political ads on any part of the mobile application or the web pages.

    The City of Sarasota permits the establishment of external hyperlinks on its official mobile application and web pages only if the links strictly comply with the policy statement above. The sole purpose of the permitted external links is to provide information about the City of Sarasota and its government for residents, businesses and visitors. The City of Sarasota does not endorse or provide preferential treatment to any third party websites, associated organizations or persons. Additionally, the City of Sarasota does not control third party websites and therefore does not warrant that third party websites are accurate or reliable. This policy may be revised without prior notice.

    Mapping Accuracy

    The geographic information contained on the mobile application and web pages are provided by various agencies (city departments, county, state and federal agencies). The mobile application and web pages are designed to provide a reasonable representation of this information and are not to be considered “official.” Mobile application and web page users should use primary sources such as, but not limited to, recorded deeds, plats, surveys and other public records for “official” information.
